Changes from previous beta:

* In CAB Creator Module, shortcuts are in separated tab.
* User can edit shortcuts directly from CAB Creator Module.
* Removed the ability to have multiple Shortcut's sections. Now every target has a unique shortcut's section. That way is more simple to understand and use CAB Creator Module.
* Some minor bug fixes into Shortcut Entry Editor.

I have finished the Direct Copy to Mobile Device module. It's engine now is multi threaded, allowing setup wizard to act normally during transfer operations. Also, an indicator is added, showing the progress in percent done of the current file being transfered. In the next beta, CAB Creator Module will have an updated files and folders section, like Win32 Module has.

Changes from previous beta:

* About text and Welcome Message now can have apostrophes.
* Transfer dialog now is multi threaded. No more freezes when transferring data.
* Added a progress indicator for individual files in transfer dialog.
* Overall increased stability of PPCIC.

Changes from previous beta:

* Direct Copy Module now is working properly at all cases.
* A new option is added in advanced settings, DCMRequired. If checked, setup wizard can't continue, unless all the Direct Copy Modules are installed properly.
* A new option is added in advanced settings, WelcomeMessage. The contents of this variable are displayed in the first wizard's page.
* About Box of setup wizard now can show multi lined text.
* Bug fixes.


First 2.4 beta

Just released a new beta version, 2.4b

The big change in this release is a new module, Direct Copy to Mobile Device Module.

With this module you can bypass ActiveSync and copy files directly to mobile device. Module have an option for copying files to SD Card, user can define an installation folder, and has a nice custom form into setup wizard. It is very handy when you want to transfer a large amount of files into device's SD Card.

Other changes are:
* Better designed Files and Registry sections of Win32 Module.
* Better import function of registry files.
* Better created setup wizard script.
* WaitBetweenCabs option into Advanced Settings.
* Many bugs fixed.

Hi,

it's a goog idea to bypass ActiveSync, so one can install as a non-administrator, too. But for an installation with CF & SQL integrated, one has to use ActiveSync nevertheless. So I think there is a theoretically possibility to invoke a cab file, that has been copied to the ppc without active sync, isn't it? This would be a great thing

It can be done. Actually there is already an api function call in rapi.dll which open processes in mobile device. But, this way the ppc must be connected at the time of installation.

Maybe i'll create a new module, like direct cab install or similar with this functionality or better as an option in advanced settings for all cab(s) file(s) into an installation. I don't know.
