I'm new to your product and tried adding two CAB files for a basic setup. One of these CAB files is for the WM2003 platform and the other for WM5/6. After I build the setup execuable and run it, Application Manager installs the one CAB successfully, but then gives me an error saying the setup is for the wrong platform. Is this something that can be fixed through Installation Creator, or are my CAB files at fault?
CAB file itself carry information about platforms and OS that can be installed. ActiveSync reads this info and decides to install the CAB or not.
In your case, maybe the CAB Files don't have these information, so ActiveSync tries to install them both.
You can try to build these CAB's with PPCIC. The place of adding platform specific settings is at CAB Creator Module -> CAB Settings -> Target Devices. Better, you can make one CAB supporting both platforms. This can be done easily with PPCIC.
