I'm evaluating the PPC Installation Creator right now and it seems like an excellent product.

I'm running into an issue in launching my application on the device...

My application is done with Java and I have a .lnk file in the install directory which launches the Java virtual machine with some required parameters.

I am trying to have this .lnk file be launched with the shortcut created in PPC IC but I get an error message when I launch the shortcut on the device.

Is there a way to launch a .lnk file from the shortcut icon instead of an .exe file?

It seems that the shortcut itself might be a .lnk file.. If this is the case, is there a way that I can edit it to add in the required parameters to launch my app?

Hi,

There is a simpler solution. Try install your already made .lnk to start menu folder.

Or, wait a day to implement custom shortcuts with parameters support.

Now it is possible custom icons to have custom parameters.

I tried out the new build and it works perfectly! I changed the shortcut to point to the Java .exe file and then added in the additional parameters under the new field you created.

It worked like a charm!
