How do you configure a self-registering DLL? I have a dll - acme.dll which is copied to the Windows folder on WM5. In the Self Register Files section under Default Target, what do I put in the field? I tried just acme.dll but when I build the CAB, I get an error - Error: Section [DefaultInstall] key "CESelfRegister" - file "acme.dll" not found.

I also tried the original source folder where the DLL comes from which is Apps\acme.dll and I also tried the destination folder %CE2%\acme.dll and they all fail with same results.

I can build the CAB just fine without this section.

Thanks in advanced!

Hi,

You just find a bug.

This happens because now PPCIC renames internally the files before build the cab file.

But, there is a workaround.

In the builder dialog, look at the generated .inf file. You must file the .dll file and look at the right of the entry. Then in the field you must put the above name. Please look at the screenshot
