Nice app thanks for letting us use it!

I dont have any background in this so please be patient.

What do I do if I have nested suubfolders with files in them that I want to include in the install on the PPC (example \Program Files\iLock\GFX)? I can only see files not folders.

The other thing I was going to use this app for was to create a cab file that include one tsk file and a couple of reg keys that control colors. I understand the setup and can easily get the tsk and one of the reg entries (baseHue is a dword value) without issue but on a couple of the binary reg entries your app complains about an invalid values in these binary keys while building the cab.

The keys are in hklm/software/microsoft/color and the binary keys I create are called 40 and it's value is C2 06 06 00 (red tapdots)and 6 with a value of 00 00 00 00 (black seperator lines).. I can add them to my registry manually just fine so I assume the value is a correct binary value.

I have a couple other basic questions but if I can get the above solved then I should be able to answer more myself

Thanks

Mitch

For the first question, you can add many Copy Files sections with deferent destination directories.

For the second, the binary values must be separated by commas, eg 00,00,00,FF

UPDATE:
I change the regsitry binary editor. Now it is like the windows registry, and the PPCIC takes care of the binary values entered and makes them compatible with the cabwiz ...

If you want redownload and install PPCIC again.

OK the Binary issue is now solved but I had to first make it a reg_sz THEN go back after it is created then edit back as a binary. Trying to make it a binary initially causes and invalid entry error.

I also figured out how to map the source folders of nested folders but no matter what I do I keep getting an error after the app is installed succesfully when running it.

I have a app that is just a few files in the root of the app folder and a GFX directory that only contains some other folders with bmps in them. 2 of the existing folders (signal and clock) each contain some bitmap files named the same 0.bmp 1.bmp etc up till 5.bmp then they are ok. The problem is that no matter what I do using PPCIC to create either a cab or exe somehow the bitmaps in signal folder overwrite the files of the same name in the clock folder so when I should see a clock number I get a signal meter. Ive tried the option to not over write but it still does. I can copy over the source clock folder and the numbers are still correct but in you app something is quite un-happy with me

Am I not being clear in my question? Should I elaborate?

No worries mate! I appreciate the assistance and am in no hurry at all.

My temp workaround. Using PPCIC I just created another cab file with the contents of my Clock folder that overwrites the "overwritten" bmp's.

Thanks again
